impressive to look at, quick friendly service, excellennt room.

could do with a stronger wifi signal at the far end of the hotel. The signal was truggling to connect.

    Fabulous

The staff made everything, from check-in, bar, restaurant to check-out, very relaxed and easy. Food was excellent and our brief overall stay was very pleasant. They are obviously customer orientated. Recomended.

Whilst the room was very pleasant, clean and spacious, it was missing a light at or near the dressing table and a shaving mirror in the bathroom would be an advantage.

    Very good

In spite of reading very recent reviews that stated that the hotel was being renovated we found it extremely quiet and peaceful. It was in very pleasant countryside and surrounded by spacious grass and planted areas which one was free to use. The bedroom units were well designed and spacious and many had views across the meadows. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the restaurant because we were looked after by the relations that we were visiting. If it were not for the heating problem mentioned below I would find this hotel very recommmendable

Regrettably, it was only let down by the fact that although the shower was very hot the water in the washbasin was just tepid. But more importantly, although the outside temperature (mid -September) was only 7 degrees C at night, the central heating was never on during our five-day stay. We are a 'mature' couple who, like most people of our age, feel the cold when it is that low, so we finished up each evening watching the TV wrapped in a douvet! Not exactly what one expects in a 3-star hotel.

No signal for wifi aty all on 1° floor. I got other room on ground level but also there WIFI-signal was very poor. I read this negative point before leaving already and it was correct) Only negative point , so that personally I would only come back when this is solved.

    Good

The location was good due to the fact that it was close our friends who we were visiting.

It was bank holiday weekend and The hotel was being refurbished. We had a family room and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Our daughter would not sleep on it. In the morning we had no hot water for shower. We were offered an alternative room for showering but was very inconvenient. Very disappointing indeed!

the double room was a good size, comfortable and quiet

bathroom door poorly hung and v difficult to close. Bar, lounge and facilties were unavailable due to refurb - we were not advised of this when booking

    Superb

Excellent location, plenty of parking. Fantastic friendly, helpful and enthusiastic staff. We had an issue with our room and the lady at reception was most apologetic and understanding and we were given some money off our bill, which was very good of her. The rooms are of an excellent size, if dated and the bathroom is also huge. Continental breakfast was good, we especially appreciated the fresh fruit. Would return and recommend.

I feel breakfast is too expensive. The cooked breakfast looked even worse value for money, however I guess businessmen billing this to their companies allows them to keep these rates. Walls are thin. I could hear next door talking and snoring!

    Superb

Spacious and very comfortable room. Very friendly staff. Convenient location for travelling to or through Kent - lots to do in the area.

    Very good

The location was lovely. Appearance on approach was very nice. General Decor was lovely. Room was a nice size and very quiet. As we didn't dine at the hotel I cannot comment on the food.

The cold water tap ran continuously, I did report the fact that I couldn't turn the tap on initially, this was obviously due to the water running continously and needed a new washer fitting. The bath did not have a soap dish and as the edges of bath were sloped all round ones soap continuously fell in the bath which was extremely annoying.

    Pleasant location

One could hear all movement in the room and bathroom next door to ours. No facilities available for evening meal because of wedding events.

    Fabulous

The breakfasts were good and the staff nice. I did not eat an evening meal there,The bar was quiet even when there was a big wedding? Party going on. The service was a bit slow as the bartenders were obviously doubling up elsewhere and bar meals stopped at 9.00pm on Friday. The beer was good and seemed well kept. The rooms were quite nice, clean with toiletries provided. They were well insulated from the noise of the party. I had a room which looked out on to a field. Lots of parking space. It seemed good for receptions at the weekend and was very quiet midweek. Nearest pub about 1mile away possibly quite good but I didn't try it and the village a bit further still with other pubs, fish and chips etc. I had a special room rate, I suspect weekend rates would be a lot higher.

There was not a lot of 'character' about the hotel and they seemed a bit short staffed. The reception desk was not always staffed but the night sraff were quick and efficient when I locked myself out.

    Fabulous

Excellent reception staff that helped me to find a local curry house after arriving too late to eat at their restaurant. My room was large, well equipped with a walk-in wardrobe.

The bathroom was disappointing, the toilet failed to flush properly and the water pressure in the shower rendered it no more than a pathetic dribble. I had a slight concern that the soundproofing between the rooms was also a little lacking.
